I am a long time Parishioner of St. Bernard. Actually, I attended North Auburn School from Gr. 1 until Gr. 7 when, after Christmas, we attended Buckeye Central in the afternoon for Science and History. Then I attended Grade 8 at Buckeye Central. I remember coming here to the “big school” for a retreat and didn’t know anyone.
I attended Pioneer Joint Vocation School for High Skill Stenography and worked at a bank and North Electric in Galion. Then I met Larry King, and after our first baby was born, I stayed home. We lived in Shelby for nine years, and then moved to the farm outside of Tiro. We have one son and four daughters, and they have given us twelve grandchildren! We try to help them by babysitting and they help us with cutting wood or whatever we need. We feel very blessed.
A secretary has a very busy day from answering the telephone, monitoring the security system, ringing the bell for lunch, prayer, and the bus, taking care of sick students, distributing newsletter and information to parents, to checking attendance, and the list goes on…
I enjoy working here at school! I enjoy the friendships of the staff and especially enjoy the students! They change so fast and grow spiritually and physically. There are a lot of new things that keep our students challenged.
