Dear St. Bernard Families,

Christmas break is in one more week!!!!! It sure came quickly.  The end of the 2nd quarter is Friday. Grade cards will be available online by Wednesday the 25th, Merry Christmas!  There is a lot going on this next week. There are classroom parties, music program and our Christmas Potluck. For the 3rd - 8th graders there will also be a Spelling Bee.  The County Spelling Bee is held at Crestline on January 9th.

Musical Program - Please have your child dressed in their country best, nice jeans or pants, flannel or checkered shirt, straw hat and hankies around the neck, etc…

Community Project - Mrs. Wilson’s class has organized a community project which involves decorating the fence in between Pete’s Cafe and Gochenours.  They went with the 6th - 8th graders to measure the fence, then they made a blueprint or plan for the decorations. They also made snowflakes with the K-1 students.  They have invited the older classes to carol with them next week and to also decorate the fence. Quite a community project!

EV3 Competition - the middle school students were unable to travel to a competition this year so they are having their own.  There are 4 groups of students competing like they would at a FIRST LEGO competition. They have been hard at work and Miss Brown and I are quite impressed with their progress.

Winter Testing - Testing will begin once we get back from Christmas break.  The K-2 students will be tested in Reading and Math. The 3-8 students will be tested in Reading, Math, Language Arts and Science.

Christmas Potluck - a paper went home earlier this week about the Christmas Potluck.  If your student was not on this list they will be on the list for the end of school potluck.  If you have yet to see the paper sent home, please ask your child.

Peace to you and yours,

Mary Obringer

Thank You
