Dear St. Bernard Families,
It was an honor to speak to our parents during Parent Teacher Conferences. I believe we had 100% participation. Thank you for supporting your child through their school journey and thank you for supporting our mission here at St. Bernard School. The dedication of our teachers makes it possible to offer an individualized education. We do not believe that every child is at the same place in a book on the same day as the rest of his peers. We believe that every child has a purpose, every child has strengths and every child has weaknesses.
The NWEA MAP Testing that we do three times a year is a quick snapshot of where your child is at that moment. I have uploaded the testing data to Exact Path and your child should have their individual learning path available to them. If you have any questions about Exact Path, please give me a call. I have also asked all teachers to make assignments for their students. Your child’s teacher should have login information for you. K-1 students have access to iPads, however, it is a little tricky to access the exact path website on the iPad. I will print out login information for the K-1 students.
Most of you know that we have a prayer circle every morning except on Mass days. I go around the circle each morning to gather the intentions of the students and staff. The intentions range from praying for the sick, to praying for their families, we pray for family pets and for people that we love. This past week, we have lifted up prayers for Jack McCathy and his family. Mr. McCarthy has been a staunch supporter of our school and is a role model for our students. We are in the process of making a tribute to him and we will be sharing it on Facebook within the next week. We are sad that he is no longer here on earth but we rejoice that he is in heaven praying for us all.
Project Bethlehem - We will be sponsoring elderly individuals that need a hand up. We will publish a list of items needed, if you are able to contribute it will be much appreciated. This is through Catholic Charities of Mansfield.
Parish Christmas Party - The parish Christmas party will be held on Sunday, December 8th at 4:30 - 6:00 p.m . There will be a couple of crafts for kids, wonderful food, and fellowship.
Peace to you and yours,
