Dear St. Bernard Families,

We are so blessed to have a school where prayer is encouraged and your purpose in life is explored.  I am truly enjoying having a homeroom again. We have wonderful discussions about many topics. This morning we talked about cyber bullying and how it is difficult to determine someone‚Äôs mood when they write a comment or text.  It is so important that our children realize that we are meant to pick people up, not put them down. They also need to realize that it is ok to disagree as long as it is done respectfully. We want our children to become the person that God is calling them to be.  Certainly there will be bumps and jumps along the way, but a person at the end of their journey does not want to look back on their life and wish they were kinder, braver or without purpose. I am thankful that we are on this journey with your family.

Project Bethlehem - We will be sponsoring elderly individuals that need a hand up.  We will publish a list of items needed, if you are able to contribute it will be much appreciated.  This is through Catholic Charities of Mansfield.

Fleece Jackets - Fleece jackets are in the queue to be embroidered. When completed we will pass them out to the students.

Stoller Fundraiser: Pickup is on Tuesday the 15th from 2:30 - 4:30

Homework:  It is expected that each child should read or be read to each night.  Most students will have spelling words to study also. It seems to work well if a particular time is set aside to do homework each day.  So at the least, they should have reading and spelling. We appreciate your support.

Peace to you and yours,

Mary Obringer
